I have an announcement to make – it’s a small one, but it’s one of those important first steps. My short story Get a Life has been published in an anthology by the University of Leicester, as runner up for the Vaughan Centre of Lifelong Learning’s Summer Short Story Competition. This is the first time I’ve entered a writing competition since primary school, so I’m happy to have got this far. More than that – I’m now a officially a published author!
Get a Life is a short story about a man and a woman who decide to purchase a life together. Set in the near-future, the story follows the arrival of James and Rosie at their new home as they are greeted by a cheerful company representative. This is where their life together begins…
I will be uploading Get a Life to my site soon, in the meantime you’re welcome to check out my other writing projects – I have quite a lot on the go!
